Parking
All of our parking spaces are within a very short distance from our front doors, but feel free to use the carport to drop your loved ones off by the front door before finding a parking spot.
We have handicapped spots and a wheelchair ramp for those who are in need of them
Service Times
Our morning worship starts every Sunday morning at 10:00am. Once inside the front doors (if not beforehand), you will be greeted by one of our ushers who will have a bulletin for you, can answer any questions you may have, and help you find a seat (if necessary).
How Should I Dress?
We simply say, come as you are in a way you will feel most comfortable. Some of our attenders like to wear shirt and tie out of preference but others also like to come more relaxed in shorts or jeans & t-shirt. In the winter our pastor might wear suit and tie but in the summers he may sport simply a nice polo and pants. He/we do not care how you come, we are just glad to have you join us - no judgement here!
What Kind of Music Do You Sing?
For worship music, we mix in contemporary as well as hymns. We do not emphasize style but rather encourage all to join in the exalting of God in sincere, heart-felt worship. Want to listen to many of the songs we sing? Here is our worship playlist on Spotify: EFBC Song List
What Should I Expect When the Service Starts (& How Long)?
We typically begin with announcements, which, if missed, can be found in the bulletin and online, before the reading of Scripture from one of our worship team members. We then will flow into the worship in music, where you can follow along through one of the screens mounted up front, easily seen no matter where you sit. After the music, Pastor Mike will teach an expository style sermon (normally working his way verse by verse through a book in the Bible) before we close with one more worship song. We normally dismiss around 11:15am
What About My Kids?
For children, we love your kids and want them to know the love of Jesus. We also want you to be able to worship and hear the Word of God taught without having to wonder if they will suddenly burst into song or color the back of the person in front of them. Therefore, we have a nursery ministry and children's ministry designed with them in mind. The whole family stays in the sanctuary during the singing portion of our worship service and then the kids are dismissed to their classrooms (and if you are new in joining us, one of our ushers would be more than happy to walk you down with your child to their classroom). If you desire to have your child(ren) stay with you during the rest of the service, that is okay as well. We understand it isn't always easy being in a new place. The children's classes teach them the Bible at their age level and are designed with them in mind so they can grow into one who will follow Jesus as an adult as well. An added benefit is that parents are able to enjoy the service without distraction while the children are not bored in a service designed for adults. Also for peace of mind (and because it is Pennsylvania law), all of our workers/teachers have had background checks and received state clearances to work with your children.
For middle school and high school youth, they stay in the sanctuary with us the whole time. We believe this is a great chance for parents to be able to discuss with their youth what is being taught, as well as give the youth a chance to both serve in the church and know the "older generation" around them. However, we have a youth ministry designed to allow them to interact with peers that meets on Wednesday nights as well as various activities that occur during the month.
College aged? You'll find peers from Bloomsburg University attending our Sunday services and then heading over to Pastor Mike's for lunch and you are more than welcome to come too.
Can I Watch Online?
Absolutely! Simply click the "Watch Live" button on our menu button and it will take you to our Facebook page where it will be broadcasting our service. You can also find previous live recordings on there as well.
Anything Else I Should Know?
If you or a loved one is a person with hearing loss, we have devices to help with that in our foyer. An usher would be happy to get one for you and show you how to turn it on.
Wondering how we do giving? We have an offering box in the back to receive your offering, should you choose to give or you may donate electronically through our website. We do not take up an offering as we desire to see people give out of freedom rather than guilt.
As far as Communion/Lord's Supper, we take that together on the first Sunday of every month.
Are you interested in joining with us on times other than our Sunday morning worship service?
- We have small group/Sunday school classes each Sunday morning at 9am that are more discussion based
- There are home groups you can be part of that meet on various nights of the week (you can contact us for more information as the locations and times are subject to change at various times through the year)
